Wing Removal

Terry, Dennis and Gary prep the rigging mount to lift the wing

Attaching a third mounting point to steady the back of the wing

Wade is up to his elbows... reaching into an inspection hole to get a wrench on one of the attaching bolts

Wade holds the bolts from inside while Dennis removes the nuts on the outside

Gary prepares to remove the top attaching bolts

This bolt takes two hands...

... as Gary removes the nut from on top

A final check of the rigging - everything looks good

We have separation - Gary looks on as the wing is detached and pulled from its mounting

The wing was lowered into its cradle and moved to an area where repairs can be made

A close up of one of the areas that needs repairing, small area with missing metal. The whole attaching flange will be replaced.
